I have hooded eyelids as well I don't let it restrict me at all, you just have to alter your eyeshadow application. I put the crease color further above my actual crease, I open my eyes and put the color on the skin that comes over the actual lid, above the crease. Apply the lid color everywhere else and I use the highlight in the corners but drag it upwards to meet where the lid color ends
