I got sea salt hydrating butter as a gift from Macy's and I have no clue what sea salt is.. Anyone know?

Sea salt is the salt that makes the sea salty ;) in this product is seems to be hydration! I have a sea salt spray that gives the hair texture.

That product is contradicting itself. Salt drys out things but it claims to be hydrating...?? I don't know good luck :3
