Usually I wear my converse but they really cut my feet up yesterday (never had that problem before) so I'm after some comfy shoes for wandering about in while I'm on holiday. I have a pair of walking boots for our proper hiking but I need some more general comfy shoes for other days.
What would you guys recommend when it comes to comfy shoes?

I would go with a sneaker if you'll be walking a lot? I'm not sure tho, I usually just deal with my converse and knock off vans :)

Same thing happened to me with my nikes. I had them for a long time then suddenly they cut up my foot. Try to find a sneaker that doesn't end on the same spot, either higher up or lower do that you can be confortable

I've seen a pair of vans I like the look of. Has anyone got any experience with them? Are they very comfy? They look more padded than converse.

I love Vans! Super comfortable and I actually prefer them to Converse. Whenever I go to Warped Tour or any other music festival wherever I'm doing a ton of walking, I always wear my Vans :)

If you want something that is SOOO comfy I recommend Sperry Topsiders. They're the most comfortable shoes in the planet. I wear them every day!

I've been loving my Sketchers Go Walks I bought a pair about 2 / weeks ago to walk around Busch Gardens & it felt like I was walking on a pillow

Oh I agree with Sophia, those are so comfy you won't want to take them off!
If you want something different, Adidas makes comfortable shoes that are cute too!

I tried a bunch on and decided on some vans eras.
I liked the sketchers ones too but I found they irritated the back of my heel round the top of the shoe (where my converse cut up my feet) The shoe aside from that was super comfy though! Bit disappointed :P
