As stated in my recent post, my plan for tomorrow is to dye my hair pastel purple, but there is a possibility that I will get to the salon and my colorist will tell me that my hair will be too damaged after bleaching it that much. I want to have a backup plan because I don't want to leave the salon tomorrow with the same color hair I have now, so it would be awesome if you guys had any suggestions for hair colors that don't require too much bleach, and are still fun! I'm down to do anything.

That's too bad that you feel that way. Good look with your pastel.

To achieve a pastel color, your hair has to be bleached to a pale blonde and then toned to a white blonde. Most colorists will do the bleachings in settings, meaning they will bleach until a certain amount of damage is done from the bleach, then send you home to do protein masks and whatnot to get your hair a little healthy again, and probably tell you to come back in two weeks or so to do another setting and possibly finish the rest of the bleaching and then do your pastel. Some can do it in all one setting, but if your hair isn't in good condition, they might not even attempt it. Surely you already knew this from your colorist, but I just thought it would be important to tell you just in case you do it. Since you don't want to do something similar to your friends hair, I suggest doing a "coke red" color or like Katelyn suggested, highlights.
