Outfit advice/how to wear this maxi skirt.

I am running errands and going to lunch with my Mama today and I want to wear something other than a pullover and leggings. :B I am quite bashful when it comes to dressing out of my comfy stuff and this skirt has been buried in the back of my closet because of this.

Does this look okay? If not, what sort of top/shoes do you think I should go for?
