Why Do All Bronzers Seem Orange?

Is it just me? I can't seem to find the right shade of bronzer that doesn't turn orange on my skin! My last attempt I went to the Mac counter, told them of my problem and when I started using my new Mac bronzer it was orange too. I wear C4 in Mac foundation. I would like to find something drugstore price range and preferably less shimmery. Please help?!
