I'm going to the mall tomorrow to buy some new spring shoes and I can't decide whether I want to buy converse or vans. Also, I don't know whether to get white or black vans/converse. Does anyone have any recommendations for me? Which are more comfortable and which go better with most outfits? Thanks!

I love my white converse! They only took two days to break in compared to my vans which took a few weeks. They look good with everything and I personally just like mine way better.

I have black vans and I've been wearing them since 2009. I used to wear converse but once I got my vans I never wore my converse again, the vans are just so much more comfy in my opinion. Also since they're solid black they match with absolutely everything so I wear them constantly (:

I've always worms vans never converse, I have a pair of converse and they have just been sitting on my boot rack for several weeks... I love white but I live pretty much on a farm... (Think teeny tiny town... Night as well be a farm..) so whites impractical for me..

I like vans because they are more comfortable for me - but I walk so much that they usually fall apart after a year or two :T.

I had a pair of vans a few years ago, and they sat it my closet for a while until I finally gave them away. They just weren't as comfortable as my converse...but that could be because I'm so used to wearing my converse lol. But yeah, I always have a pair of plain black converse. I got a new pair this Christmas because my other ones were getting kinda beat up (but I walk A LOT!). They lasted me for 3 years though, and they're still perfectly wearable (I actually wore them today). Regardless of what type of shoe, I do recommend you get them in black because white shoes get dingy so quickly and then they just look gross in my opinion.

I LOVE Vans, and I definitely think you should go for them. I do also believe that they are a little bit better for your feet, since converse are so flat and have a thin sole. Plus they look soooo good ;)

I've been wearing vans since I was 16 in 1999. always vans, never converse. vans are way more comfy.

I think it depends on your style. I don't like the look of vans sneakers but I do like their slip-ons. I prefer converse to vans, though, and I wear my high top black pair more than the others.

If you have wide feet go with Vans. Narrow feet...Converse. The most important thing is to base your decision off comfort factor because you'll be miserable otherwise.
