Which essentials am I missing?

I was taking inventory of my makeup (I don't have much), and noticed that the only lipstickesque thing I have is a berry purple-y thing from show choir last year. Any suggestions for filling the void? If you notice something missing from the other areas, that would help, too!

you need a gloss, a lipstick, black eyeliner, blush, mascara, an eye shadow kit with neutral colors and a kit with brighter colors((This is the basics)
