Ok so my skin is dry on my forehead and my cheeks (I'm talking flaky itchy dry) and on my nose and chin I am oily (I have to have oil absorbing sheets with me at all times).
I use the Clean and Clear Deep Action Exfoliating Scrub (it has the little balls in it kind of like the morning burst cleanser does). I use Clinique Moisturizing Gel before my makeup and Benefit Porefessional as a primer. For foundation I use either Smashbox 15 hour wear, Buxom Show Some Skin, MUFE HD Foundation, or Clean Finish by Rimmel London.
Are there any foundations, moisturizers, primers, or cleanser's you recommend for my skin type??

Are you exfoliating 1-2 times a week?

I tried using the St. I've's Green Tea Scrub & it just made me even more dry. But I also bought the Lush Cosmetics Ocean Salt Cleaner. Haven't tried it yet.

I personally loooove the Body Shop tea tree oil face wash/cleanser, it's my holy grail. Some people say it's drying, but I haven't ever had a problem with that. I like Mary Kay time wise moisturizer for day time, as for thicker moisturizer I like a ponds night one I think it is. For primer, I love the Lorac porefection mattifying primer. I haven't found a holy grail foundation

We have the exact skin type to each other and yes I understand the pains you go through with applying makeup in certain areas to make it look nice and what not. I use as a cleanser a brand called Skinstituted which helps me a lot with my combination skin type, for make up I use MAC, Mac is only the really best of foundations I've used that my skin has like (face and body foundation)

The only foundation. I have liked so far was loreal Truematch. I felt like it didn't emphasize my dry spots and didn't make my oily even oilier (used a setting powder).
Moisturizers: I like CeraVe moisturizing lotion for no makeup days and the Embryolisse Lait Creme concentrate for makeup days. At night I like to use First aid beauty Ultra repair Hydra-firm sleeping cream, I wake up with balanced skin. I like to apply two drops of the Tarte maracuja oil over it. Sometimes I will get flaky patches at my temples and in my eyebrows so when that happens, at night I like to use the First aid beauty repair conentrate balm and after a few days of using that it helps so much.
For primers: I lke the Hourglass mineral veil and Porefessional both help control oil and keep things balanced looking.
Cleansers: I like CeraVe hydrating cleanser in the morning, the foaming one dries me out too much. I also have liked the Purity cleanser but makeup wipes are needed to get makeup off first. I also like to use the Algenist Genius ultimate anti aging melting cleaser at night time for added moisture.
Now, I also have been lking the exfoliating powders because you can mix them intoo your favorite cleansers. All of the exfoliating cleansers Ihave tried dry out my skin and make me dryer yet more oily at my nose.

You need to moisturize very well after exfoliating, I would suggest trying a facial oil like jojoba oil or Argan oil:-)

I'd go with the jojoba oil if you want to include an oil or the tarte maracuja oil. I just tried the Argan oil and it really did a number on my pores, they were so congested. Some people have really good luck withit but definetly not me. Now I'm using it as a cuticle oil :/

I have the same problems! Lol. What I found that helps is applying moisturizer only to my dry spots and not using a drying cleanser. But I also think the the moisturizer I got in my ipsy bag this month helped my dry spots a lot! It's called lafresh Eco beauty good day moisturizer. And my tarte Amazonian clay foundation has been my best friend because it's matte and doesn't make me oily up until 8 hrs after wear and not even that much. It also doesn't stick to my dry patches :) and porefessional primer by benefit. Good luck girl!:)

I got that moisturizer in my ipsy bag too! It felt more like a sunscreen lotion to me, but I have no complaints on it. I'm about to purchase a new facial cleanser from Sephora, it's the Fresh Soy Cleanser. Have any of you tried this? I still have two full night creams (one from Olay and the other from Origins) and a full Clinique daily moisturizer I'm going to try and use up. But will definitely try all the products y'all mentioned :)
