Are you going to post the pic on this forum? Because I was reading the comments and I am very curious as to what the silver shampoo will do so I would love to see a picture as well!!

Yes! Sabrina is spot on :) leave your purple shampoo on for a couple of hours, usually you'll have to do it a couple of times but it's worth it. :)

Hey Sabrina, before I buy it, is this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0029ZWKA2/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2LGCUYYWT7YOC the right product?

I'm a hairdresser... Try a toner that's ash or violet tone and a level 9 or 10.. With a 10 volume developer. Should get you a grey tone you are trying to achieve...

Sabrina was the before and after picture you posted just using the Loriel and no other dye or anything, because I wouldn't mind staying that colour. I've used the loriel silver for 2 hours and it's made my hair go a lot more pale as you said, will it eventually go grey/silver just using the shampoo? Or do I need a dye to achieve that kind of grey/silver?

Have applied it twice for a total of 4 hours, hair has gone more pale and few bits at the very front have got a white colour, still more yellow at the back, how many more applications do you think?

Well it was just a Google picture, so I can't be sure if it's only the shampoo, but I would say that there's a possibility for getting the color only with the shampoo, but it will of cause take longer then using a dye!

Hm how much yellow? You could try putting it on for longer next time, like applying at night and sleeping with it! I knew a girl how did that! If you do sleep with it I would mix some conditioner in it!

If the yellow is very yellow there's a possibility that you will need to bleach again if the purple can't take it out!

Here's a pic to show how it is now.

You see how darker the little side bits are, it's a bit like that on the back.

Is it dangerous to sleep with it on?

Jan 19, 2015

Sabrina K.

Wauw what a result!! that's Sooo awesome!!

No it's not dangerous, it can just dry your hair and your scalp, so I would mix in conditioner to avoid that! But the results are great, so if your not comptable sleeping with it I would just continue as you are, maybe letting it sit for 3 or 4 hours at a time! And then after maybe to or three allocations I would redye it with the silver - that way you get the basic silver in your hair and then you can maintain it with the shampoo :)

This is after leaving it on all night, it's a tiny tiny bit yellow on my side burns (the actual hair not facial hair obviously) and it's a slightly darker tone on the back than it is in the front, but do you think I could apply the silver dye now and it would take and look even?

Jan 20, 2015

Sabrina K.

Yeah I think I would try the silver dye now :) It looks good!! your hair is really responding great to the shampoo!! way better the. mine!!

I might buy a bleach and just do the back for 10 minutes, just to get the yellow out, then use the silver dye.

Should I also use a toner to make my hair go white(before I use the silver dye)

Can anyone advise me what to do? You can see the colour of my hair in the picture, but my little side burns and the back of my hair is still not pale blonde, what do I do? for right now all I want is for my hair to go very very pale blonde, white preferably (then once its this colour I can literally do whatever I want with it) I don't feel like the silver dye will take because of the yellow bits at the back.

Just to describe what my hair looks like at the moment, the side burn on the left side of my head is yellowy and the one on the right is a pale blonde, the majory of the left side is slightly more yellowly than the right side which is a pale blonde, the back is a yellowy blonde and the top is a mix between grey and pale blonde. Also, when I say yellowy I don't mean proper yellow I mean half way between yellow and pale. My hair is a bit of a mess :P I just want to get it white asap so I can apply the silver dye.

You can try and bleach it again, it's not a sure thing that it will take out the yellow but there's a very good possibility! Depending on the color the bleach leaves it then you can either go straight to the silver or do a toning with the shampoo.
Silver is a ridiculously hard color to achieve on your own so you have to have paitiens :) You very much on your way :)

I might do a toning, just so I don't waste pots of the dye, I'd rather get it white so I know it's going to take, what toner would you advise?

Jan 20, 2015

Sabrina K.

Well I always just tone with the shampoo, so unfortunately not :/
