You have to dilute it if you use pure tea tree oil - but there are tea tree oil spot treatments from the body shop you can use without the need for dilution that work well too

I use natural tea tree oil, I mix it with my natural face masks (one or two drops). you could also apply it directly but you have to dilute with a carrier oil (jojoba or argan) and use it as spot treatment, you should not apply it directly because it is very strong, and try to not apply it near the eyes.

If your using it to spot treat you just dip your q tip in some distilled water then the tee tree and dab it on the pimple if your making it into a toner your going to dilute it, it should be distilled water not tap water.
