I just want to share my appreciation for my favourite foundation, Smashbox Studio Skin. I have tried absolutely everything in my search for a HG foundation and I'm so glad I found this one. I have oily, acne scarred skin so all the others either slid right off my face or just didn't have enough coverage but Studio Skin is perfect.

For example I have just spent the last 3 hours at a 4th birthday party. It's 38 degrees outside (that's Celsius so for everyone else that's 100) and all the other girls were dripping with sweat. The ones who weren't wearing makeup where so red and flustered and the ones that were, weren't for very long as it just disappeared. I got in the car expecting to find my face like that. Nope. I looked slightly dewy but other than that, my foundation remained!

Anyone else have any products that can survive in extreme conditions?

Yesss! Great review, sounds like I need this in my life, my current foundation was holding up well until it started getting super humid everyday, now I'm thrown off even applying it cause It just comes off while I'm getting ready :( lol!

Definitely go to Mecca and ask for a sample. The only bad thing is they don't have the best range of shades but luckily their lightest shade is just right for me :)

Smashbox has some hit and misses but when they have a hit they are truly awesome. Thank you for posting a review on this foundation.

A product I've experienced surviving my region (hot humid Florida in the middle of summer) is Laura Mercier Flawless Fluide Foundation. No melting, no streaking, nor fading. It stays put. And another one is By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra Powder. I use it sometimes not only under my foundation but sometimes over it and it does a great job at diffusing my enlarged pores and keeping me from turning into a grease ball in the summer time. It will keep everything intact.

Thanks Shelley! I will have to try the Laura Mercier. I would love to try some By Terry products too but they're crazy expensive in Australia :(
