Hey everyone!! I was wondering if anyone can help me, I'm working on a short film this coming spring, it's about the beginning of the troubles here in Ireland in 1916. It focuses on three young men fighting for a united Ireland and one of them gets shot by a British soldier. I am pretty confident about everything except making them look sweaty! I have done mainly theatre and beauty until now and as y'all know, film is very different, so I am in a hoop, lol!! HELP!!! PS I adore every last one of you on here, love love love!!

The only thing I can think of is using a waterproof foundation and with a spray bottle full of water apply the "sweat". And to add even more character to the face smudge some black chacoal on their face (forehead and chin) to represent the gun powder and dirt mixed in. Back then the guns released a decent amount of gun powder upon firing and the shooter would get it on their hands. So what do you when you have sweat to wipe away but no hanky available? You use dirty hands to wipe your face.....thus the chin and forehead dirt.

Be sure to also spray down the front of the neck as well. Congrats on getting this gig. ;)

Thanks!! That's where I was going myself, I am just worried about the water drying out if there is a long scene, I don't want to be yelling "CUT" and running in to spritz the guys between shots lol. Have you used the Mehron liquis tears and sweat/ I assume its a slow drying liquid, but as its a student film I'm not sure of the budget (if any!!).

I'm not a make-up artist but I have seen the liquid tears on a commercial set and it looked pretty believable. Student film....budget might be super tight but its worth asking about if they can add this item into the budget. :)
