How many coats until true match lumi starts to look cakey? Or does it depend on ones skin?

I think with any foundation it depends on the application, your skin, and how long you wait in between layers.

Ahhh, that makes sense. Thanks Alexis. (:

You're welcome! (:
Personally, with my foundations, I do one layer all over my face and then use a stippling brush (or my fingers if I'm lazy) to apply a little more foundation just where I need the extra coverage rather than applying another complete layer

I think that's probably what I'll do. I need to get a stippling brush, does elf have one? I'm really fond of their brushes, yet I only have 3, bronzing, eye shadow and powder..

I actually just purchased an elf stippling brush and its pretty good. It was $3 I believe.

ELF does have one and I have it! It's part of the series with the black handles so it's $3 rather than $1 but that's better than like $10 at Sephora or something. It's called the "Small Stipple Brush" (:

Thanks Brittany and Alexis! For now I'll use my finger, but I'll definitely be purchasing an elf stippling brush! They're usually out of elf products everywhere I go do I'll have to keep a close eye on it lol.

I got mine off Walgreen's.com because the elf brushes do be picked over every time I go to their section!

I have the elf stipple brush and love it just make sure you buy the small stipple. The bigger one sucks.

For true match lumi I feel I can get two nice thin layers without it looking really Cakey, I've never put more on though
