As the title says,I have the habbit of biting my nails.
I tried to stop biting and challenged myself to not bite for a week but I failed.Miserably xD
Any tips to share with me,girls?

They have a nail polish that tastes bitter. So if you wear the polish and try to bite them the taste will make you stop. Sorry I don't know the name of it though. It was an article on here (BL) about it.

I've tried just about everything to help me stop. Lol. It never works ugh. I've tried to make myself more conscious of it so I'll notice right away and stop...still haven't fully though so I feel your struggle.

I've struggled with this myself. Keep a file with you at all times and keep them filed straight. Get yourself some sort of cuticle cream and apply it once or twice a day (neosporin can be used if you have bleeding cuticles) and try to keep your cuticles pushed back. Do something else with your hands/mouth like chewing gum or playing with something in your hands. Look at pictures of pretty nails/nail art. Try to find out what makes you bite and be aware in those situations.

My doctor told me it's a vitamin deficiency when you do that so he put me on a vitamin and I haven't done it since that was a few years ago

There's a cream you can buy, I think it's called "Control It!" that tastes bitter...nobody will even know you have it on once you work the cream in.

Okay, I wouldn't try the bad tasting nail polish, honestly when I was a super bad biter, it did nothing but make my food taste bad when I was eating and it didn't stop me from biting my nails, at all. What I did to break my habit (it's been about 6 months now) is use a nail growth polish twice daily for about 2 weeks, Sally Hansen makes a good one. Within a few days you'll notice your nails have grown, you just have to really stop yourself on those first few days, after you start seeing results just remind yourself that you don't want to bite them. I also would paint mine a nice colour, usually lilac haha, so that I was less tempted to bite them as I'd put effort into making them look half nice. Within 2 weeks your nails should grow a pretty decent amount if you start using that growth polish. :)

That's just how I managed to break my habit. :)
