This might seem like a silly question but when you use makeup remover/ makeup removing wipes are you supposed to wipe off everything including foundation? I always thought they were only to remove eye makeup! Does using them to take off foundation make a big difference before you wash your face anyway?

Generally yes you could use them for everything , you could read at the back of the package it would tell you! And doing it before you cleanse your face just makes the process easier! I use a skin cleanser that removes make up aswell

I personally wipe everything off, not just my eye makeup :) to me it makes a difference because my face makeup is generally long lasting so it's harder to get off with soap then it is taking it off beforehand. I don't do this all the time though, usually if I've come home late.

I just bought the tarte make up removing wipes. I'm not sure why I never thought to take my foundation off with them. 😜 thanks ladies!

Yes it makes a difference to wash off your makeup before cleansing. I work with dermalogica and they have a product called precleanse and I'm so in love with it. it's oil based which is great because oil attracts oil and it lifts any oil debris or makeup so that when you do cleanse your face your cleanser isn't sitting on top of your makeup or trying to remove it. instead it sinks deeper to find the results depending on what type of cleanser it is. I love that step and notice a huge difference so I would definitely suggest removing your makeup somehow before cleansing. I used to use the wipes until I got on the precleanse and realized it removes so much more than the wipes did for me but it's better than nothing.

I use makeup wipes to remove everything. I personally don't feel comfortable putting cleanser on a face full of makeup.. Idk.. It's just weird.. It gets most of the makeup off and then my cleanser gets the residue and leftovers! I feel squeaky clean after! :)

I take it all off with a wipe and then wash my face. I used to remove my eyemakeup with olive oil but, as easy as it was, broke me out :(
