Okay so when I do my makeup, I take waaay too long and it's really annoying since I have to get to school, get to work, etc. and I hate spending 1-2 hours on my makeup even when its just simple looks like mascara, brows, foundation, bronzer and lipstick. I always get really OCD about each side being equal, so I spend about 20-30 minutes on each thing (eyebrows, lashes, etc). Does anybody have any tips to save me some time or tips so I can stop obsessing over little imperfections while doing my makeup? Thanks! :)

Try doing simpler makeup, or I would recommend trying the 5 min makeup challenged just basically do everything you can in 5 min & then find out what you need to work on the most, like if your eyebrows came up the most fucked up after 5 min. Next time you have 20 min, think okay ill take 8 min on my brows & the rest of the time for my face :) I'd do that :)

I don't know if my makeup could get any simpler lol. That makeup challenge thing should be pretty fun though.

I know it gives me anxiety too lmao! I did it cause I used to only have like 30 min to do with hair & makeup everyday so I spend like 10 min on hair & 10 on face & 10 on eyes lol, now I have like 2 hours & I take my sweet sweet time everyday lmao.

I find applying my foundation with a damp beauty blender makes the foundation application a lot quicker. Also warming up my mascara by sticking it in a cup of warm water helps the product be less clumpy and applies better so you're spending less time playing around with it. Maybe find some multi use products like a cheek tint that is also a lip tint, or a eye shadow that is also a highlighter. For me personally I just get quicker at doing it after repeatedly doing it, but my look for going to work 5 days out of the week is always the same "face" so doing pretty similar looks daily will help you speed up the process. I also find it helpful to keep the daily used products out and anything else that could be distracting to make you try something new, keep separate. If you only have the basics and a minimum supply that should speed you up too.

I don't really have this problem but some tips for saving time is that I : brush out my lashes with a clean mascara wand (with no mascara) before I apply my mascara so it goes on easier and my lashes don't get clumped together. And warm up your mascara before you use it by either sitting on it when you start your routine or putting it in you bra, this helps with clumps, as for foundation use a really great primer and just find and try out which ways is the fastest/easiest way to apply that takes the least play around with trying to apply with sponges brushes stippaling, or even fingers, and for brows I find I don't have to do as much win mine are shaped and waxed nicely so you could use what ever you normally use or tree colored brow gel which is so easy and makes your brows look great. I have no idea if I helped at all because to be honest I don't really get ocd about little things. But trust me you look gorgeous and no one really pays as close of attention to you than you do. They won't know if your wings are slightly longer or if your lashes arnt super perfect but thats okay. :)

I don't know if anyone else does this, but if I listen to music while doing my makeup, I WILL take at least an hour to finish. If I don't I seem to work faster! Don't know why hahaha.

There are some really useful tips on this thread!
What I also find helpful is to just do what you need first, which is foundation, Mascara and brows. If I have time left, I'll do whatever is easier next. ( For me would be lipstick, eyeliner or eyeshadow, etc. )
If you can grab a little to go make up bag and maybe you can get to school/works a bit earlier to do your make up. ( What I personally like to do. )
