Too much foundation?

I always see gurus put on their foundation and they only use a teeny tiny bit no matter what kind it is and it gives them full coverage. like they'll use about a half a pump because "less is more" but when I do my foundation I don't see a difference for some.reason. so what I'm asking is, is it okay if I need like 3 pumps to cover my face or am I not using my foundation correctly? I use maybelline dream matte mouse and some other drugstore liquid foundations.

It really depends on you. It's definitely not 'wrong' for you to use three pumps. If that works for you, that's great! I tend to use more than others myself but I don't necessarily feel it's too much more than they are using. Chances are, you are doing just fine!

I agree with tonita. It's all about your skin, what works for it and the foundation actually makes a difference too. Someone with acne might need more than the average person and so on. Don't worry about it if you feel good and you like it that's all that matters.

I as well use three pumps, it all really depends on the texture of your skin and how well your skin takes to foundation, but 3 pumps is fine !

I know!! Sometimes I see youtube gurus use half a pump to one pump because with that foundation alot goes a long way. Then I think to myself, I have that foundation and I use way more lol. I usually use 2-3 pumps of foundation. I agree with everyone else - it's about your skin, preference, and how much coverage you want.

dream matte mousse is in a jar so thats why youre using more maybe? i used to use that foundation before and i found you could only really apply it wiht your fingers and i loved it for a drugstore foundation but it was too messy and i found mysef using too much so i switched to a liquid i use with a brush

As long as its not cakey you are fine. If you want a little to go a long way, mix a pump of foundation with a little moisturizer
