I'm going away to Florida in July, and know that well be spending a lot of time in the water parks! if I got my nose pierced (I'm allowed to get it done on Wednesday :D) how long would it take to heal? and would it be a problem if I went to the water parks and it wasn't quite healed?

Depends on you & how you clean it etc.
some people wait 3 months for it to be completely healed some wait less.
I changed my stud into a hoop after three weeks.
also I personally wouldn't recommend going into a water park if it isn't healed, it probably will be healed by July so if it is then there shouldn't be a problem and you will be fine (:

I would say you will be fine by July, but it all depends on your body. It's really important for you to clean it regularly especially if this is your first facial piercing. Your piercer should give you all necessary information such as healing times, and if they don't I recommend finding someone else seeing as knowing that information is very important and you want your piercer to care about that. As far as the water park, like I said you should be fine, just make sure to clean it well before and after. Hope that helps!

Thank you! I've only got double lobe piercings, so this is my first outside of my ears :)

Takes 8 weeks before you can change the bar, however because it's a cartilage piercing it can take anywhere up to a year to fully heal.

About 2/3 months I've heard... So by july you should be fine.

The healing process for me lasted about 5 months, but it's variable as these other lovely people said. I just wanted to share my own experience in case it could help.

If I could remember, mine healed quickly. A couple months I'd say. However, I had the other side done before that and it took a long time! I ended up taking it out before it was fully healed and got the opposite side which I have now, pierced lol.

My nose healed pretty quick too but I can't remember how long it took but I remember it being really quick.

Also, it's easy to think it's done healing and stop cleaning because it looks or feels healed, but it's important to keep up the cleaning as long as your piercer says to. ( I'm a total hypocrite because I'm the poster child for not cleaning your piercings daily, but I've had so many I know what my body needs ha)
