I don't know about covering it, but it'll help reduce the appearance of redness associated with pimples.

I like the elf one that comes with their concealer palette. it's a creamy formula and doesn't budge if you set it with powder, even though it does crease a little on dry skin.

I use it on pimples, by physicians formula, I like it with the maybelline fit me concealer and it really helps camouflage my acne!

If the pimples are red then yes. Smashbox makes a good green primer.
