I just got my samples of the RCMA foundation and even though I've heard of the many ways you should apply it, I wanted to know what you guys think is the best way. For me I really want to maximize the already great coverage, but still keep it fairly natural. When I applied it I found that you could still see a lot of my redness, and this is what I really want to cover. Thank you.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty certain with this foundation you'll need other products (green, lavender, salmon) coloured concealer, etc.to help reduce the redness, etc.

If your redness is coming through just use a green primer before you apply the foundation.
a bb/cc cream & concealer would be too much since the foundation is already heavy coverage.

Any recommendations for a green primer/light concealer?

Miss Jackie suggested the Make Up For Ever yellow primer for my redness. I trust her judgement so I'll be getting that one :)

You'll be fine with a corrector but you could also be ok with dabbing the color over the area a few times.

That's what I thought Alma, I just have a sample size so I didn't want to use more product than I needed for today but I think I will do that tomorrow, I'm just trying to find my perfect shade at the moment. It's also probably because I used a sponge,

What color are you using?

I'm trying to decide between porcelain and ivory but because of how red I am they both turn out way too pink for my skin.

Ashley D.

Yes, I'm thinking I might have to mix them but Ivory seems like a good match to start, I just have to tone down my redness, if not then I will buy porcelain to mix. Thank you for your help, it's really hard to match me.

Alma M.

Don't mix Ivory with porcelain that will just shift the color and you'll look pink.

On sephora? I did see it but I wasn't sure how I would get a ton of use out of it, I already have the sculpting powder but I still kinda want to pick it up. Have you picked it up yet?

Feb 25, 2015

Alma M.

I also have the sculpting powder but I needed this in my life as a collection item and the fact everything that goes along with his sculpt powder is in it. I should be receiving mine tomorrow.😊

I think I might order it when I feel like I need a change in my rouine, at the moment I have a lot of other stuff I want before this, but I love Kevyn Aucoin products so much that I might have to pick this up for my travel makeup

RCMA is a professional brand and is targeted to multimedia makeup not everyday. if you have redness use yellow not green the yellow in the green is what works not the blue part of green. you should color correct any heavily discolored areas first then apply foundation.

RCMA can be wearable every day as well, learn to use it and it works. As for yellow it can work for some but then again it's a learning curve with that as well.
