Lately my face has been extremely dry! I have patches of dry peeling skin on my face, it isn't noticeable to others, but I can see it. I use Macs studio fix foundation, maybe this is drying my skin out? before applying the foundation i cleanse my face and moisturize it! I've used every drugstore product trying to help my skin. I just purchased the African Black Soap to cleanse my face with every morning and night. Also my nose is disgusting! Black heads are taking over. HELP! Help! Heeeeeelp.

Ok, I order a cease and desist on the foundation. When you don't know why the skin is acting up its best to step back from all the products your using and assess the situation. Did you just start using the MAC foundation? And how long have you been using the African Blk Soap? Did you start using both products at the same time? First off the African Blk soap will cause you to have some minor irritation because it purging your pores of all the junk. After about two weeks the skin is balanced and it will clear up. I use the soap as well and that was my experience as well....minor breakouts and slight dry texture of skin. The foubdation could just be making the situation worse. I would stop using the foundation for now and allow your skin to heal itself. Continue to cleanse with the African Blk soap, use a non-alcohol toner and moisturize twice a day. When you lather up the soap on your face really concentrate on your nose. Massage the area with lather a little longer than usual. Stick to those three basic items for two weeks and see if you experience any improvement. Once your skin clears up then re-introduce the foundation.

I agree with Shelley, and love her "cease & desist"! Treat your skin with tlc. I would suggest the oil cleansing method. You could be over-stripping your skin with cleanser & product. The Body Shop makes a lovely product which doubles as a great mask. It strengthens the skin barrier to help keep more moisture in your skin.
