A primer helps makeup last longer and apply better while a bb cream gives light coverage and doesn't have the properties to make makeup last like a primer does.

Yeah, a primer you use before applying foundation. a bb cream you can just use alone when you want a light coverage.

Bare Escentuals has a bb cream primer if you'd be interested in something like that. It's pretty much a primer with light coverage like a bb cream. I haven't tried it myself, but it has a 4.7 rating on makeupalley.com :)

The BBs don't work well in my skin,I preffer a Day cream first and foundation later,I can't help You,I tried primer and my makeup looks dry,but I think its for my skin type.
