I don't get it, basically cutting your own split ends?

I saw that on tv last week on the dr. oz show. I don't know if it works but they had a professional hairstylist do this

Jorie, I saw that on Dr. Oz too! The lady on there was kind of an oddball, in my opinion. Anyways, I'd rather go to a professional and get a proper trim rather than do it myself but that's just me.

I do this all the time when I'm bored lol. I notice my hair is much softer and well, has less split ends. I heard that you do have to use hair scissors or else it'll just be more damaging to your hair.

I do this all the time and it helps a lot. But like Jocelyne said, you need to use hair cutting scissors to do this - regular scissors will just make the split ends worse.

Hmmm seems reasonable, I personally would never do it because knowing my hair skills I'd just wreck it 🙇

I mean, you can try it but I don't think it's a good idea. I tried it and messed up. But if you trust yourself with your hair enough, go for it :)
