Full exposure? Sephora return.

I recently purchased the full exposure palette from smash box and I seriously hate it! Does anyone have the problem that you can barely see the color of shadow when you put it on? I used primers and tried applying with a damp brush and nothing worked! Anybody feel the same? Will sephora let me return something without a receipt but I have the box

I guess I'm not the only one that sees there is no pigment. The colors are wonderful but it's just ehh. Maybe it depends on the person
