A lip gloss is generally a liquid and has a different texture while lipstick is a solid

What are the benefits and cons of each?

Lip gloss is liquid and usually pretty sticky
Lipstick is a solid and pretty smooth and like a cream
And lip stain is like a pigment that you put on your lips and it'll just stain them for like a day like dye

Lip gloss makes your lips shiny but if its a windy day the oo your hair will get so stuck in it and it's so annoying XD

Lipstick is amazing and I love it but you have to "blot" when you eat so it doesn't get all over your face

I think it depends on your personal preference, I like to have a thick and matte lip look so I tend to wear more lip stocks but when I want something that's a bit more natural and with a light tint I wear a lipgloss.

And lip stain is just amazing but it doesn't usually have a super amazing pigment but there aren't really cons.

Lipstick: It's solid. Pros: Color pay off, different finishes. Cons: Can be drying, makes flakiness more noticeable.
Lipgloss: It's liquid and comes in a tube with an applier. Pros: Moisturizing, shiny finish. Cons: Less color pay off, sticky.
Lipstain: Very thin liquid. Pros: Staying power. Cons: Very drying.
