So, I have medium brown hair and I was wondering what would happen if I used blonde semi-permanent hair dye all over it. I don't want it to turn blonde and I don't want to bleach it, but I would like some blonde reflections or a lighter shade of brown. Would that work? Has anyone tried it?

I think that might make your hair go a bit ginger

You should try it first in a stroke of your hair that is not visible so you can see how it looks like... you can also use fresh lemo juice mix with water and spray it in your hair and then go out under the sun for a while to enlighten them.. it wull look like you have natural highlights (there are diy for this on youtube)

I mix lemon juice with coconut oil and sit in the sun, the lemon helps to lighten my hair and the coconut oil keeps it from becoming too damaged

@elizabeth A. - it is not good cause the sun will take out all the moisture from the hair and your hair will become very dry and not soft. :/

You could try washing it with chamomile tea, it has lightening properties :)

If you plan to do that strand test first
but doing honey and olive oil masks will slowely give you some hoghloghts because of the peroxide in them but they will do it while conditioning your hair
