Match it to your neck & go in the sunlight while the swatch is still there
that's what I do

Maybe going to sephora or ulta and getting matched?

Searching online? Best to go to a makeup counter to have someone help you or ️sephora and they will do a perfect match... Just go to ️sephora.com to see which one is near you or call them to ask? Google map on your computer or phone...

I always match my foundation to my neck and hand. I bring a bottle of foundation that matches me best and try to see which other foundations are close to it. Once you find a good match you can try Findation.com. I find that site very accurate. A sephora or Ulta? You can google it. Just search up your sip code and the stores name.

Oh yes, bring a foundation bottle that matches you!
I've learned that's the best way (:

Miss jaqueline is pretty good at color matching - which foundation are you looking at? Also you should already know your undertone and lightness - that usually helps when shopping online because most companies use the same key words to describe undertones

I'm looking at Charlotte Tilbury's Light Wonder in the shade 8 Medium cuz I'm more on the medium side and I'm also looking for full coverage as I have a lot of acne. my lighter tones are around my nose, on my chin, and in the middle of my eyebrows!?!

Since the nearest Sephora to me is in the Mall of America, I don't get the chance to color match often using their Color IQ system...I have an Ulta but I wouldn't trust the people that work there to match me. I just match the foundation to my chest and go into natural light to see how it looks. I'm REALLY pale and it's hard to find a good foundation that isn't too dark. I've found luck with L'Oreal True Match and MUFE Mat Velvet. Know your undertones!!

Not sure how to see I've never given much thought to my skin the only thing I really know it's light around my nose, on my chin and in between my eyebrows and the fact that I have sensitive/oily skin!

You can determine your undertone by looking at the veins under your wrist - are the blue or green or both? Blue = cool/pink undertone, green = warm/yellow and both = neutral/beige - so check if the website describes what undertones the shades are and just choose the medium shade that matches your undertone
