How do you guys put on your foundation? I've always used my fingers, is that bad? I've tried sponges but I thought it made my foundation cakey. What are your opinions? How do you put foundation on with a brush?

I usually use a sponge. To use less product and avoid the cakey look I dampen the sponge first.

I dot it around my face then blend with a stippling brush.

I use a stippling brush or a foundation brush. Both are by real techniques if that helps too

I always use a brush (either real techniques stippling or expert face brush or my new fav sedona lace 480). I normally put foundation on the back of my hand (after sanitizing I'm such a germaphobe) and just pat my brush in it and go to town lol

I use my fingers...

I always use a brush. It blends better than your fingers (which can apply too much) or sponge (which can absorb too much). Michelle Phan has a good video explaining this that you could look up on YouTube, but I use a flat foundation brush.
