So since eighth grade I started getting really into makeup, I can do great makeup on other people. My friends paid me to do their makeup for hoco. I'm in 11th grade now and I can't do my makeup on myself. Everytime I try it looks really muddy and I can't ever get my liner nice. It really frustrates me sometimes. Does anyone know any tips to apply makeup on myself?

PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE. And experiment with different tools, colors, creams vs powders. You have to just learn what works for you and of corse watch YouTube

I've never heard of this before it's usually the opposite haha but for eyeliner
use a felt tip
I would start with short thin strokes as close to your lash line as possible and make sure your hand is rested on something, make sure your arm is very comfortable.
you can always look at pictures of liner for inspiration.
for face makeup make sure you have the right tools as in foundation brush, beauty blender, buffing brush etc. Whatever you prefer.
and make sure that you aren't applying a lot of product that might be the reason it can look muddy.
I would say to make sure you have all the right brushes that might be a reason it isn't coming out the way you like it (:
also choose the right products that you like

Practicing on your own time will improve your makeup skills (:
I started winged liner ever since I was in 6th grade and now I can do both eyes in less than two minutes.
practice really does make perfect.

I definitely agree with codi you have to try different products to see what your faves are and what wrks well with your skin and different techniques like whether to use a brush a sponge or fingers to apply foundation thts just an example but you get the point thts awesome though tht you can apply makeup nicely on other ppl cyz I've tried and I can't do sucha great job lol I can only dp a good job on myself.

Usually you can do the line part of the eyeliner it's usually the wing that's the hardest the way I learnt was practising drawing the wings on so that they look somewhat symmetrical then going on from there to do the rest hope I helped

My advice for bettering eye makeup application would be to figure out your eye shape and practice styles that compliment that shape, refer to color theory and find out what color will play off your eye color the best, and just practice technique; good products help but even they can look bad if not applied correctly.
