I did it on my sisters hair with red, all I did was section the hair off and put the dye about halfway down her head and I made it a wee bit zig-zaggy. so it didn't look like a bowl cut dye job.

But make the dye more consetraited down at the bottom so its not strong colour all the way through.

All I did was carefully put the dye on my ends and then smudged it up that way it's blending instead of making a harsh line. That's about it really.

I've heard of teasing the part where you want the color to blend then start from bottom to top.
I tried it and it worked pretty well with blending
good luck:)
