So this ALWAYS happens to me and I have no idea why.

I just recently bought the Revlon Colorstay foundation in "Buff" which matched my skin tone perfectly... For like, the first 3 days... And now it's seemingly too dark. I don't tan or anything like that, I'm naturally very pale.

This happens with almost every foundation. I don't see this as oxidization because it's too dark straight after the maybe 3rd or 4th application, and directly after.

This is so weird! Is there anything I could/should change in my skincare routine? I can't think of what would be causing this!

Thank you xx

Make sure you shake the bottle and your skintone changes from day to day, so that could be it.

You may just be seeing the foundation in new lighting and realize that it's actually too dark. Or its oxidizing. When I used soms drugstore, and even high-end foundations I noticed that sometimes the product would slowly become darker in the actual packaging. But it was after about 6 months.
As for skincare stuff. I don't think there is anything you can do for dark foundation except buy a new shade or new foundation

I think it must be the lighting, I can't imagine a foundation that has been opened for a week oxidizing unless it was way old to begin with. Also, Colorstay comes in a pump, so it's very unlikely to be exposed to oxygen in the bottle which is how oxidation happens. They say that you are always supposed to match foundations in natural light. Just how you are supposed to this in a store without getting arrested for shoplifting, they don't tell you. Since finding samples of drugstore foundations is kind of hard, I would go buy two or three adjacent shades and try to see if you can match it natural light and then take the rest back, or if you need to combine, pick two bottles.
