So I love this look, but it seems impossible for me to recreate :/ I have Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, but my hand is shaky and I just can't get it right. Sometimes I can get one eye looking okay-ish, but even then I can't get the other one right. Please suggest an eyeliner that will make it easier for me to create this look. Also any other tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you beauties! :)

I always recommend for beginners a gel with an angled brush. You can literally stamp the product at the correct angle and fill in from there.

I've become obsessed with cat eyes to the point that I feel awkward without them. I've done them daily for about 5 years, and one of my absolute life savers is a make up remover pen. I have an elf brand one that has lasted me forever that I got somewhere a while back for no more than a couple dollars. If one side is thicker than the other I just gently use the make up remover pen to even out the side that's too thick. sometimes I have to touch up my foundation or eyeshadow in the spot after but it's an easy fix. I haven't looked to see if any other brands carry remover pens like that, but I'm sure some do. The one I have looks like a marker.

Gel liner definitely makes it easier for a perfect cat eye

I agree - A gel liner and an angled brunsh, but this look still just require a lot of practice! I seen a lot of girls using tape to get the line crisp, you could look on YouTube and find a video of that!

I agree with the other girls about using gel liner. I have the Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner and I love it! It comes with a brush but it's not angled so I'd suggest picking one up if you think it'll help you (:

Gel liner and an angled brush, yes! I love the elf cream liner, and I often use their itsy burst concealer brush to brush on product. If you're having trouble, follow your bottom lash line to guide the direction of the wing:)

I use the KVD and use a single flick motion and just thicken the wing if it looks sloppy - I learned the technique from Wayne goss easy cat eye tutorial and now I'm practically a pro but it did take a lot of practice - but if you try the one motion flick inwards technique then it's so much easier than trying to draw the actual wing with a steady hand.

Basically since its a pen it makes the wing for you and all you have to do it tilt it on its side and swoop inwards and the pen makes the wing shape.

Thanks ladies! Shannon, that make up remover pen sounds like something I need in my life!

I'll also look into that ELF liner, Winnie :) luckily my campus bookstore just started selling ELF products (beyond random, right?)

I probably should have mentioned I'm looking for a cruelty free brand. If anyone has any other gel liner suggestions from brands that don't test on animals, I'd love to hear them. Thanks!! :D

Diana, thank you! I'll definitely have to watch that video and keep practicing :)

Ugh wings are so hard. I have shaky hands too. I usually use a gel pencil, as sharp as I can get it, or a a brush with gel liner. I go slow making short strokes. One really good tip is to sit down when you do your eyeliner and plant your elbow on a table to steady your hand. It's always hard to do the left eye for me. It's crossing the boobs, I think, my arm just can't get to the right place to do it. Anyway, go slow, practice and keep q-tips with a bit of makeup remover near by.
