Greetings!

I have heard great things about organic coconut oil and have recently started using it for deep treatments for my curly hair and also as a makeup remover for keeping my face moisturized while protecting the delicate skin on my face. I am curious to see how other people include coconut oil in their beauty routine. Any thoughts?

Coconut oil actually clogs pores so be careful when using it on your face because it can cause breakouts. also using it as a makeup remover can cause infection because It tends to build up residue in the eye. I like it for hair treatments and I use it in my own homemade moisturizers

I use it the same way as you Stiel. I also use it as a lip moisturizer.

Hairmask, serum, face moisturizer and I also want to try and make a scrub out of it with some sugar :) probably will make my skin soooo soft.

Using it as a makeup remover won't cause infection like other oils would, coconut oil is an antibacterial oil so it's actually the one safe oil to leave on the lashes or near the eye.

I don't use it for anything but oil pulling or a moisturizer anymore. You have to be careful with coconut oil, as it hardens when it's not warmed up. So it can clog pipes, especially if you use it lots in one drain (like using it as a scrub and hair mask all in one shower) I used to use it as a hair mask every week but I switched to other oils because my shower drain clogged and it was incredibly difficult and expensive to get fixed.

Small portions are enough, it causes pore clogging and in my acne prone skin I use it once a month to clean my eyes from residual make up, bitI use it daily as deodorant and toothpaste mixed with baking soda.

Coconut oil is very anitbacterial. It makes an amazing overnight zit zapper. I use it on any zits, even those tough, scary bra line zits. It usually takes them out overnight. Amazing stuff. Some people are allergic to it, but obviously you aren't since you've already used it on your hair without problems.

I wouldn't recommend using it on your face, it broke me out horribly. I would recommend something like extra virgin olive oil for your face.
