Brittany is correct, it is very harsh and can scrape away at your epidermis. When I was in esthetics school I was in between clients and talking to 3 instructors about products and clients with damaged skin, etc.and they all started talking about the damage they've witnessed due to the st ives apricot scrub. there are a lot of articles written about the damage it causes online as well.

When I tried it, it didn't really even feel that harsh honestly. Felt like any other scrub I've used.

Just because it doesn't feel like it's causing damage doesn't mean damage isn't being done and your skin will eventually show signs of damage.

You may not be able to feel it, and it definitely won't occur from one use. When your epidermis is scraped it can not only cause inflammation but bacteria can be trapped in what will become larger pores and scrapes in your skin causing acne. I'm sure you understand the consequences, I don't mean to be a pain I've just seen and heard of so many bad outcomes. is your skin going to fall off? no. but will it possibly cause irritation and more skin issues? possibly yes. my roommate used it, I told her about what my instructor said and she kept using it until she went to her dermatologist told her to immediately cease use. hopefully it doesn't do that to your skin. I'd love to know what you think about the dry shampoo, I'm always trying new ones.

The jergens? It doesn't specifically say it's for the face but I'm going to use it on my face. Haha.

Lol I did, it was in the check out line, you know where they have the thing set up to catch your eye at the time you're buying the rest of your crap? Yea, I put it on and it's heaven in a tube. Haha, Thanks for recommending it! (:

I love that lotion for when its hot outside! its so cooling and it doesn't make you greasy at the end of the day. and burt bees chapstick are the only ones I use! I have the coconut one (: and I didnt like the scrub because it was too harsh for me, instead I use another one from the same brand, the green tea one because it helps with my blemishes more than that one did so its great for me.

I have the matte lip color and I loveee it! It's perfect for everyday use. I also have that apricot scrub and I love it also. It's a little harsh, but if you use a light hand when you exfoliate and don't press to hard, it amazing. It makes my skin super soft and nice :)

Oh and I also agree with Marissa. I like tough scrubs because nothing else works!

I'll definitely look into the oatmeal one, I love oatmeal face masks. Thanks Sandra!

As a cosmetician I have to say I agree with the above posters... That scrub is way too harsh for the skin and will cause damage in the long term. I used to love it too and was sad to have to stop using it 😭
I second Sandra. The oatmeal one would be a better option or the green tea scrub if you have acne. Both use less damaging exfoliants.
