I love dampening my sponge or brush before applying foundation, it sheers it out a little bit helps apply it flawlessly!

If you use a brush I like to go back in with just a dab more on a dual fiber/buffing/stippling brush and make circular motions with it.

I use a beauty blender, it also depends on what kind of foundation you have. I use the cover girl 3 in 1. Also, when you use a beauty blender you should always get it damp/wet and clean it every so often to prevent the growing of bacteria
