I need help with hair dye!!

I got baylage highlights in my hair at the end of August. The highlights are caramel, they're definitely lighter than my actual color, which is a dark brown. I recently started getting the urge to dye my hair again! I usually just use the box dyes from the store, but I need help. I would love to dye my hair back to a dark cherry brown. I'm worried that the highlighted hair will turn orange. Should I dye the highlights back to a brown and then dye my hair the dark cherry? I'm so lost. 😖thank you for any help!

No, since you're going darker you it'll most likely turn out all the same color. The lighter hair might turn out a little bit lighter, but probably not super noticeable. Even if it is, it'll be a cool red ombré :)
