Best method for contouring - palette or foundation.

Hi guys :) wanted to know what works better for people. Using a cream contouring pallet or using foundation sticks that are darker/lighter than their skin to contour? If so which ones? :)

I use a cream contour palette that I bought off of Amazon and it works really well. (:

If you use a foundation stick the concern may be to find a color that has a cool undertone and mimics a shadow and isnt warm toned. I have seen girls contour with foundation sticks and it ends up looking like they placed their bronzers too low instead of a contour.
I have both cream and powders for contouring. The cream palette is what I use the most and Ill lightly blend some powder if I want it to look more dramatic.

OCC has some cream color bases that are cool toned--not as in pink but grayish, mimicking a shadow.

And as long as the foundation isn't too orange, it should look fine. (Scott Barnes uses warm foundations and they look f l a w l e s s — it's about technique)
