I have like oily dry skin, and I want a full coverage routine. I use Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation, Nars Creamy Concealer and Hourglass Primer and I will moisturize and exfoliate before that. But I feel like it isn't enough coverage for me. I kinda suck at doing my face makeup. I don't have very many brushes or anything either to apply it with. I was also thinking about trying a setting powder but I don't know anything about that. So I really just want recommendations on what I could possibly do, products I should try.

I would recommend getting the right brushes. They make a world of difference. I used to apply my face makeup with fingers, and now that I've tried a makeup sponge and a brush, boy did that help. Lol

Not really sure which brush to recommend with that specific foundation as I've never tried it and I believe the consistency is mousse like, correct? I've never worked with that. However, brushes that provide the most coverage are flat paddle brushes, and a dense flat top, in my opinion.

I have a Real Techinques sponge and Sigma F40 brush. I have a bunch of other foundations too that are liquid.

I have combo skin, oily in the t zone and dry everywhere else. I use Mac Studio Fix Fluid and Maybelline Fit Me foundation, I prime my face with benefit porefessional, I use mac mineralize concealer or maybelline instant age rewind. I set my face with NYX HD Translucent Powder. I use a sigma 3D HD Kabuki to apply my foundation and an Elf Small Stipple brush for concealer. We have the same skin type so hopefully these will work for you, I love them.

I will definitely look into these! Does the NYX powder give any coverage?

Before you invest in a different foundation, I'd definitely. get a foundation brush. I love my kashuktools #4 flat top. I just pump the foundation right on the brush, distribute it around my face and then buff it in. The whole thing takes less than a minute. The primer you have is probably perfect for your skin type (the mineral veil primer, is what I'm thinking of). I usually do foundation first and then see if there's any redness left uncovered and then I apply my concealer. A transluscent powder is for setting and for oil control. You can find colored powders as well that do that, as well as adding a bit of coverage, but I find they start to make me look more "made up."
