Hey guys! I've had my belly piercing for 4 or so months now. it started healing up really well and then I wore high waisted pants today and basically that back tracked it. I'll continue what I did before but does anyone have any other tips to help it heal well? Thanks xx

When I wear high waisted things or sweat a lot/high temperatures mine always goes a bit funny even though I've had it for almost 2 years. I always just use a q-tip and dab on some of the cleansing stuff your piercer have you, tea tree oil or pure chamomile extract. I think you can get those at pharmacies.

It takes at least 6-12 months for a belly piercing to fully heal, they're very sensitive to high waisted clothing, tables, desks, towels; anything you can get it stuck on. I'd be cleaning it twice daily with a salt saline solution to prevent any infection and help it heal :) there's not much else you can do.

Don't use tea tree oil for piercings, it'll dry it out and cause it to take longer to heal.

Totally agree with Shaye, I found the only way I could properly clean mine during healing was holding an egg cup over the piercing full of saline solution for about 5 mins twice a day, I found soaking it was the best way to clean it

Yeah well it was looking really close to healing (my body heals quite fast) And then today it just went all gross after wearing my shorts all day but I've cleaned it up abit. Thanks guys!!

Yeah I've had mine infected twice because I wear such high waisted shorts all the time. The shot glass and saline solution works quite well:)

Mine took a year to fully heal. clean it daily, do not twist or mess with it much, and don't change it before it has healed 100%
