@Hannah...I'm sorry but I stop the madness when it comes to food...especially M&Ms. I'd rather eat it than smear it all over my face.

@Cocoa C...I agree with you. My hubby massages it on my scalp and honey saved my lips as a lip mask after a horrible reaction to a lip balm.

I love blueberries, I wouldn't be able to use it as mascara even if I tried. It would end up going right into my mouth!
I think the weirdest DIY I heard was back when I first started on Beautylish... Someone was asking if it was really true if Slapping your own saliva on your face could cure acne and act as a face wash. She claimed it to be part of some 'Indian Regime'.. eck.

As for Honey, I am all for it. I have a bacterial infection on my face and I refused to take any kind of pill/anti biotic with its 1000 side effects.. and my skin esthetician told me to get me some good old fashioned raw honey due to it's anti bacterial and antiseptic properties. I've been washing my face with raw manuka honey and a little pin drop of my cleanser, as well as mixing it over night with my night cream. It has made a ton of a difference to my skin and has helped so much with this random issue of sensitivity that I've had. ( Below my nose, corners of my mouth and right above my chin tend to get red and burn. I haven't had that sensation since I've started. I've also felt a pretty bad burning sensation when using sunscreen to the point where I have avoided it.. I've been able to use SPF again. Also took away a nasty cut that I had infected from work.. was turning all shades of yellow.. gross. ) I'm particularly not worried about allergens. We have far too many fruits/vegetables and spend way too much time out on the farms and I am exposed to worse at work. I'm not sure how badly honey has turned out for others, but I have done nothing but gained from it with no bad reaction.

@Cocoa...I've used honey on mosquito bites when I didn't have my usual drupstore topical on hand. That stuff is a lifesaver. I'm still bugging out over Oreo mascara and M&M's being used. Now that's wasting some really good food.lol.

I just about fell out my chair when I saw that video. I allowed my girls to watch it in class and it made for an interesting journaling session because then they discussed additional beauty DIY's...straightening one's hair with an actual clothing iron!

Omg I had a friend iron her hair with an actual iron I it petrified me!! Like really?! But yea the Oreo thing is NUTs really why would you put that on your eyes and not just eat them, then of course I continued on to see the m&m eyeliner and again really chocolate on your eyelids? Why not just eat them and use real eyeliner?! Bah people..

The Iron thing had actually been around since 50s, 60s, I don't find it as a bad thing. But using tasty sweets to apply mascara or liner is crossing the line how dare they lol ;)

My mom used to iron her hair with an actual iron...and use Tropicana juice cans as rollers!
I can't dtand diy hair treatments and lighteners (besides oils). I had and woman come in for color and and then come back a week later to yell at me because I burned her scalp. I asked her of she has been on any medication or did anything prior to color and she told me she did an apple cider vinegar rinse before she came in. I about died!! her scalp got burned because it was so acidic from the vinegar!! lemon juice will do the same.

Lol that oreo and m & am video lmfao, I got to give her this though she was actually able to make it, give me a bag of oreos you best belive I'm not going to sit there and get creative, my butt cheeks are going to get up and get me a glass of milk lol... I used to straighten my cousins hair with the iron all the time back in the day, we would put a towel on the bed she would lay her head and I would start ironing it, it would make her supper curly frizzy hair as straight as could be lol I find that its faster and easier then the straightener lol nut you got to have someone to do it for you.

Haha Lili I agree about the iron being used with a second person. My friend did it on her self I was so scared of her ironing her actual scalp 😮
