How Should My Friend Do Her Hair? Help Please!

My friend doesn't know how to do her hair. The first pic is what she currently does. It should be flipped, because her bangs are on the other side of her head. The second is what she may do. The second one kind of makes it look like she has shaved the side of her head. She has a punk style, so either hair style will work on her. What are your thoughts?

She should put clip ins on the side and her bangs then cut them to make them look like its layered correctly.. Her fringe is a bit too short on the side on the first pic so if she likes to wear it on the right side tell her to put clip ins and cut it just a little bit so it won't look so short.
