Hair Dye? After red.

Why would you have to bleach it to dye it brown? You only bleach your hair if you want it lighter or before you dye it a vibrant color.

If its a dark brown then yes. how dark is the brown and how faded is your hair?

After your red fades, you'll need to step the rest of the red out, and then dye it brown. If it fades but you don't strip it, you'll have brown hair with either patches of red, or a tint of red on your brown. You don't have to bleach though, like Bailee said. Make sure you strip all of the red or the red will for sure mix with your brown and show either way.

No, do not bleach your hair. There's no reason to. Just strip the red and dye it brown.

I always dye over my red with dark brown. It was always my whole head, though. Not just the tips. Just gave me a slight red tint, which didn't bother me.
