They add texture, and some claim to make your hair wavy. a lot of brands have their version of them. you can get them at a lot of places like target, ulta, and some at drugstores.

I agree with Alex - I love that sea salt spray - my hair is thin but naturally wavy and that stuff separates the strands well and enhances my natural waves - it works best for me when I apply it to my wet hair and then let it air dry and it gives that nice beachy wave look.

I make my own sea salt spray it's super easy and works great! My hair is wavy naturally but I use it on my sister who has super straight hair and it works fine
