Face washes won't be able to help you that much because they only stay on your skin for a very short time and they don't usually contain enough active ingredients to treat spots. You need to wear SPF with at least PA++ everyday and add a spot treatment serum to your skin care routine day/night. You will need 28 days to start seeing results since our skin takes that long to metabolize :)

Garnier skin renew dark spot over night peel works AMAZING. I have oily/combo skin that breaks out randomly and not only has this stuff removed my dark marks, its reduced my acne to maybe one or two pimples a month because it gets rid of all the dead skin cells. Plus, it doesnt dry my skin out during the winter months. I only use it at night, then use my regular acne care for the day. It will take 6-8 weeks for the spots to fade, but it cleared up some of my pimles after one night & made my face look glowy without makeup

I've tried freederm but for me it didn't give me quick results, just dries them up a bit but they don't vanish!

Face wash will not achieve that, cleanser doesn't do much else besides to clean. You can try to prevent it and stop it from getting darker, to prevent: ise acne treatment (BHA). to stop from getting darker: A hat is THE BEST sunblock, or a sunscreen which protect against BOTH UVA & UVB. Good luck!

I will forever recommend lemon juice! It seriously works, use it like a toner. Also use sunscreen to prevent them from darkening.
