what's the best way I can go from dark brown (previously dyed, stripped & processed) to lilac colored hair with minimal damage?

you need to get your hair white in order for it to take a smooth lilac colour. If you have dark brown hair you can't really get to lilac hair without damaging it quite abit. Try going to the hairdresser and ask for their advice :-)

Don't, there's no way around it, plus you'll look like a grape 0.o

It's so hard to do. I ruined my hair trying to get a lilac/lavender color. Since you have damaged hair already, the best way would be going to a salon and having them do it for you, or at having them get you to white and you can do the color yourself. But fair warning, your hair is going to hate you if you do it. I honestly wasn't even able to get my hair to the color I wanted because my hair started breaking and falling out like crazy and I was seriously afraid of going bald.

My friend had dark brown hair and bleached it out, and used a combination if manic panic dyes to get a lilacish color. It turned out being more if a darkish lavender which looked alright. Her hair had been damaged a little from bleaching it before and dyeing it red. The best thing to do would be to ask your hairdresser and get her opinion on it first and make decisions from there though. Hope it turns out well!

Getting a pastel shade is always going to damage your hair a lot, because you have to get it almost white for it to show up the way you want.
