So I know a lot of girls like me spend endless amounts of time straightening their hair- and I was wondering if anyone had tricks to straighten wavy/ thick hair faster? It may be a long shot, but who knows!

I use garnier fructis sleek and shine flat iron protector. It's a straightening mist with argon oil it's a very good heat protectant and it smooths my hair down and makes it much easier to straighten. My hair is the exact same way as yours and it makes the straightening much faster! Hope it helps! :)

I, too, have thick wavy hair! I don't want to deal with flat ironing. I'm thinking of chemically straightening it... I don't know what other alternative treatments are available out there. I've heard of some kinda Brazilian treatment? (Not talking about wax!) Keratin????? Brazilian blowout or something? Anyone have experience with this?

I have very curly natural hair that's frizzy at the root, so I have to use a blow dryer, then a straightener. I ALWAYS use heat protectant, and I use products like antibreakage and smoothing serums, and my hair always comes out smooth and shiny.

Abby, how does Brazilian blowout work? Is it basically chemical straightening? I think I'm gonna try it!
