Hi!
So I'm thinking about getting a new bag and I found some from DVF and DKNY.
The bad thing is, I've read that DKNY is now a days "too mainstream" so I was wondering is Diane Von Furstenberg too (because it's not very expensive)?
I don't want to buy a bag, then notice a couple years later that "oh, I just lost 300$ on a mainstream bag" like I did when I bought my Michael by Michael Kors bags...

Do you mean like too trendy? As in it will go out of style quickly? Because I find that generally has more to do with the style of the bag than with the brand. Do you have any pics of the bags you're looking at?

I don't think either brand are. I rarely see people with dkny or diane von furstenburg bags. It's all about Michael Kors the past couple of years! I would like to see pictures of both bags if you have any? I have a dkny purse and I love it, great quality and I love the design on it.

I agree with Jamie.
I tend to invest in classic shapes and high quality materials rather than worry about the name on the bag. I don't mind if 5 or 500 people have bags from the same brand for me it's all about investing in a high quality piece that will last me.
Out of the two brands you mentioned, I find DVF tends to stick to quite a classic style so out of the two, I'd probably invest in a bag from them rather than DKNY which I find are more leaning towards the "trendy".

DvF "440 Gallery Transit Mini", DKNY "Bryant Park Saffiano Crossbody" and Ted Baker "Lailey Metal Slim Bow Leather".
I just don't know if Ted Baker is too trendy also? The bag is super pretty though and affordable.

I think the Ted Baker one is the prettiest, but I'm not sure about the shape being to trendy or not

Yes, Teddy makes some pretty bags for sure! I'm currently thinking between Ted Baker and Diane von Furstenberg... Tough decision :D.

I agree with the ladies on the Ted Baker. The black with the gold accents gives it a really classy feel. I could definitely see it as a bag that you can wear with everything for years to come. I do like the DKNY bag as well. I'm not a huge fan of the smaller bags, but that's just my preference as I generally don't like bags with that shape. All of these are great options though; I'm sure you'll like whatever you pick!
