I also have troubles with eyeliner. What I do when I need to figure something out with makeup is go on YouTube! They have every question about makeup answered.

I used to have troubles so I'd never wear eyeliner. I never mess up since I've found this new technique. Dip your angled eyeliner brush in mascara or even a gel eyeliner and press it close to the eyes following your natural line. You can wing it out from there, but I personally don't like wings on me.

There's a bunch of ways you can apply it. What are you using to apply it? Liquid, gel or pencil? But as a general rule, you start by drawing a line as close to the lash line as possible. Then from there you move on. You then can add to the line, making it thicker, or you can "wing" it out by following your lower lash line out, then connect it the the line on your lower lash line. You can also just smudge it out with a pencil brush. You can even just start out with a dark eyeshadow. Take a angled brush and push it against your lashes, then go from there with the instructions above. :) hope I helped!

I apply my eyeliner ( liquid, gel, pencil, or cream ) starting from the middle of my eye. then, I extend it out to the end of my eye, focusing on making the line thicker. after that, I go back and start from the inner corner, and work my way up to meet middle of my eye. and always make sure to work it short strokes! don't start out by making one line all the way across your lid, that may mess it up. good luck!

For me personally liquid liner is easiest. I find the brush is easier and doesn't skip like a pencil or pen style. To eliminate shaking I place my elbow on my vanity top to brace my arm and steady my hand. I have also found the starting with the middle third and working my way out toward my ear helps give a more consistent application. I have a tendency to blink a lot when applying eyeliner so working in sections helps.
