Dark circles are caused by a bad blood circulation when you don't sleep enough... Massaging the under eye area with a caffeine based product can help reduce it :) almost every skin care brand have that kind of product, and since it has caffeine in it, it would work :) on the make up side, applying an orange concealer can fade the purple tones, and using a regular concealer 2 or 3 shades lighter than your skin tone will make you look more awake :)

My dark circles are genetic so there's no way to get rid of them completely. I've found ways of diminishing them where they aren't noticeable. At night I use Mario Badescu Ceramide Eye Gel and Ole Henriksen's Total Truth Vitamin C Eye Cream SPF 15. It's really bad during the summers so I take an antihistamine on days I know I'm going to be out all day. I drink tons of water, get a good night's sleep, and use NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer to conceal them. My GP discovered that my dark circles were genetic. I didn't go to a dermatologist or skin specialists.

I use Maybelline's fit me concealer. You could find high end brands that would do the same thing but I'd rather spend $8 rather than $20.

It can be due to a few different things.
Genetically just darker in that area, vitamin K deficiency, not enough circulation etc
Firs you could try talking a multivitamin to make sure you're getting your daily dose of vitamin K.
Drink plenty of water.
Then if you don't see an improvement try lightly massaging your face or even ginger tea since that helps with circulation.
Then there's the issue of just more melanin in which case a vitamin C eye cream can help brighten it.
Being that it's purple it MAY be cause by veins in which case you kind of just have to use yellow concealer

This is something I use, wet a tea bag but not too much.
And put it on your eyes.
Sound funny but it works on me

Ok, jade, the same as mine. I suggest you use yellow concealer for neutralizing them, the other concealers won't work on me. I have the bh cosmetics one but it creases so I ordered the nyx one.

I put 2 spoons into the freezer and press them to my eyes to reduce puffiness. As for makeup I use a salmon colored correcter (benefits erase paste) to get rid of them!
